Memorial Day observance and Flag posting SIGN UP NOW!

Posted on May 25 2016 - 5:18am

Troop #48 helps the American Legion post flags by each veteran’s grave site on Memorial Day Weekend. On Friday, 5/27, from 4 – 5 PM, the Legion needs help at the Fort Sheridan cemetery. On Saturday, 5/28, they need help from 8 – 10 AM at Lake Forest Cemetery. Scouts are encouraged to participate in these activities to show respect for our fallen veterans and to support the American Legion. Participation in flag posting counts as a Troop or Patrol activity AND qualifies (partially) as demonstrating Leadership and Scout Spirit for advancement. Please register on the website if you can attend.
