Sign-up for two winter camping gear opportunities during our Shotgun Campout!

Posted on Nov 5 2013 - 9:03pm

Winter Gear Bucket - Make your very own Winter Camping Gear Bucket during our Shot Gun Campout this weekend. What the heck is this you ask? It's simply a 5 gal pail with an insulated lid that you can store all of those odds and ends (extra gloves, hat, hatchet, hand warmers, etc), all the stuff that doesn't fit into your backpack. Plus it also serves as a great camp chair with its insulated swivel seat top! Price is $12 per bucket.

Brian Ludmer- Troop 48 Eagle Scout

Posted on Nov 5 2013 - 4:33pm

As many of you may have heard, Brian Ludmer, a Troop 48 Eagle Scout, was a victim of the recent Los Angeles airport shooting. Brian was an active scout who graduated from LFHS in 2002. Brian, along with his 3 brothers Matt, Nick and Graham (Eagle Scouts as well) all served on camp staff at MaKaJaWan and were very involved in OA activities. Brian's quick thinking and Scout first aid training led him to apply a tourniquet while hiding in a closet that most likely saved his life and his leg. As it is now, he faces several surgeries and extensive physical therapy before he can get back on his feet. A fund has been set up to help defray the cost of his rehabilitation. For those who wish to support Brian you may do so via the link below.
