Casey's Eagle Scout Project

I'm organizing an Eagle Scout project to build a Cretan-style stone labyrinth at the Nicasa Round Lake, Illinois, location. Nicasa is a nationally recognized leader in comprehensive substance abuse prevention and treatment. This labyrinth will help struggling individuals in the healing process and greatly benefit Nicasa's clients.

About Us - Webpage - Need Bio info from leaders

Hello adult leaders in Troop 48,
I am working on a special project as part of my webmaster leadership. I would like to collect short bio information about the adult leaders in the troop. I will put this info in the "about us" section on the website. This page is public on our website and could be useful for recruiting new scouts and families. Also, I would like a picture to go with the bio if possible.

Flag Placement Event at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery: Requesting Adult Volunteers

Fort Sheridan National Cemetery Administration reached out to Troop 48 requesting volunteers for Friday, May 28, 2021 9AM flag placement on all military gravesites. There will conduct a safety briefing prior to flag placement. Volunteers will be given color-coded maps indicating the section(s) where they will place flags. All volunteers must be wearing masks and following COVID-19 safety guidelines including social distancing. No more than 25 total individuals may be volunteering together at one time. Hand sanitizer will be made available at multiple stations across the cemetery.

COH and BOR, MB turn-in

The Court of Honor is scheduled for June 3rd. If there are any completed merit badges, they should be handed into Mrs. Olenick by Thursday May 20th. If anyone is in need of a Board of Review, they need to reach out to Mrs. Olenick ASAP. They will be scheduled before the end of May.
